hmm...
What is going on here?
Hmmburger started in 2006 as a zine and website. After a few years, it went dormant and stayed that way for a minute. There were a few attempts to restart, but somehow 2025 was the year it "stuck."
Now, Hmmburger is a website and a clearing house of sorts. A place to notice things, make things, and share things. Caretaking this corner of the internet.
Things are not organized in a coherent way as things don't really have finite boundaries and we should play off the name right? Burgers are short fiction, fries are updates, ramblings, or whatever, and lastly napkins are a way to have fun drawing silly pictures. At some point all of this gets combined into combos.
The observatory is a way to keep track of the stars and where we are at this moment. From the stars to a three card spread, observations are made at least once an astrological season.
The site is updated on a semi-scheduled basis, but pressure isn't very serious. As stated before, "My pond, my rules."
Behind the Counter
There are a few factors that led to the current iteration but they came down to burnout from web projects that sapped any remaining joy in making websites.
This along with a steady journaling habit, learning Astro, and being bored with the state of the web allowed Hmmburger to be reborn.
Unless otherwise stated, what you see on this site is the work of Chente.

Prefer email? RSS?
You're in luck, we have both! RSS
Note: This newsletter is a slight variation on the RSS feed and this website, so you'll get the same content, but in your inbox in a different context. I can assure you, it's not annoying. Unless you're having a bad day and this email shows up at that time.
