What is going on here?

Hmmburger started in 2006 as a zine and website by Vincent Gonzalez. After a handful years, it went dormant and stayed that way for a minute. There were a few attempts to restart, but somehow 2025 was the year the habit stuck.

Now, Hmmburger is a website publishing whatever feels like it can be here.

Stories are fiction pieces. Napkins are drawings with short observations. Combos compile the work into physical form. Updates cover site news and process thoughts.

The site is updated as things are ready. As stated before, "My pond, my rules."

Behind the Counter

There are a few factors that led to the current iteration but they came down to burnout from web projects that sapped any remaining joy in making websites.

This along with a steady journaling habit, learning Astro, and being bored with the state of the web allowed Hmmburger to be reborn.
