Upon reflection, it was decided that the homepage was a bit of a mystery meat. All ground up abstractions from the sections of the website without a real context. Then again, this website is a bit of a mystery meat itself.

You’ll notice that there are more recent works from across Hmmburger. A featured work is still there but we have added more recent fictional stories, recent ramblings and updates, the latest napkin, and the latest zine.

Having a website like this has been refreshing and a way to have fun on the computer. It’s pushed me to get back to the ideas around the “IndieWeb” and to engage with how the web is moving and how it is being built, not just consumed.

Importantly, Hmmburger has reminded me of why I started making websites in the first place. It was to have fun online, to share my art, and to learn how to make my page do “cool” things.

It has been fun to experiment with adding more words to my drawings and finding a way to find my written voice. I have enjoyed writing “The Lunch Rush” and “Temporada” and to feel comfortable with whatever I am doing with napkins. Lastly, it’s been fun to make zines again as a way to bring these works into a physical form.

All that to say, more please.
