1TB Milestone

April 05, 2008

Last night marks the point in my computer's life where it has downloaded a total of 1003GB worth of data. I want to take this moment to share that, no, I do not have all of the 1TB of data still. I do not have that kind of space, although I wish I did :]. All of this data was moved via one of the best Torrent Clients, µTorrent. It is lightweight (lastest being 257KB), contains all the great features of any standard Torrent client, and it can have a WebUI for remote management of your transfers. The Torrent system is one of the easiest and fastest ways to distribute information, and is completely open source, so anyone is able to create a program to harness this powerful data sharing system.

And, just a picture to verify that I have a 0.109 share ratio:

IKEA! For breakfast?

March 06, 2008

The other morning, I had the pleasure to wake up earlier than usual to go shopping at IKEA. It was thrilling! Exhilarating! Magical! How could that be though? Well, currently my lady and I are in the process of making our new apartment our new home. The problem is none of us have any real furniture. It’s all fake it’s all in our minds! No, not really…we just have the essentials, bed, dresser, bookshelves, etc. We need couches, more bookshelves, more stuff to fill these voids of space in our apartment! So where does one on a slim budget go? IKEA! The home of yuppie goodness and cheap furniture, gizmos, and gadgets.

How could one really write about a trip to IKEA you ask?

Well, to make this trip to IKEA special I must tell you that for the first time I had breakfast there. Yes, I went to the restaurant to sample the finest cuisine Sweden has to offer. It was exciting when I noticed the four menu items; I was blown away by the choices they laid out before me. I chose the regular breakfast instead of the Swedish Breakfast or the Small Regular Breakfast. They had chicken fingers, but I don’t think they were serving lunch yet.

What comes in this Regular Breakfast?

You get one huge scoop of egg, two strips of bacon, three French toast sticks, and probably something else that I don’t remember. Uh oh! Maybe there is some kind of mind numbing experience that you get from eating at the IKEA restaurant, I guess we must examine my results in order to come to that conclusion, right?

The eggs looked like eggs; they were yellow and fluffy like delicious scrambled eggs. Too bad that these yellow scrambled eggs tasted like hardboiled eggs. Seriously, Hardboiled scrambled eggs? Yes, I kid you not, the scrambled eggs tasted as if I was enjoying myself some good old fashioned hardboiled eggs. Just needed some salt to take away from the tartness it had. What was also strange about the eggs was that when the lady scooped my egg onto my plate, the giant lump of egg had this jello-y look to it. I kid you not, it wobbled, and it was as if Cosby himself were saying, “Try some of my Scrambled Egg Jello Puddin'."

The bacon was bacon. I can only assume that though. It could very well be something else, but it did actually taste like bacon and was crispy but not too crispy. There really isn’t much more to say other than, if this wasn’t bacon it probably was Beggin’ Strips.

French toast sticks are awesome; I don’t know anyone who would say otherwise. If you think otherwise, I think you should probably shut up because you are wrong, FRENCH TOAST STICKS OWN YOUR SOUL! IKEA did a good job with these French toast sticks, they weren’t all soggy like they usually are when you microwave them, and they were actually cooked to delicious. I noticed they did have a “delicious” option on their ovens. I wonder why they didn’t put their eggs in there.

All in all, the breakfast was alright. The eggs really sucked in retrospect and to think I actually shoveled spoonfuls of hardboiled-scrambled eggs into my mouth. At least I wasn’t wasting food! Huzzah!

For $1.99 you really can’t go wrong with this breakfast, you can only hope that the eggs were a rough patch that day.

Oh Minseok!

March 04, 2008

Often I find myself waiting for comments on my blog. But alas, the only people who comment it are people I know (my girlfriend) or spammers (my ex-girlfriends).

Today was a special day. I posted a new entry about a wallpaper I made, but who really cares about my stupid wallpaper, right?

To cut to the chase, a Korean posted this on my blogentry.

Dear,

I’m a korean living in seoul.(name: Oh Minseok)
Korean special investigative team are investigating samsung
corporation.
But they do not work right.
I am suspicious to be bought off.
samsung corporation has many crimes.
And the team investigates samsung corporation.
It contains korean companies samsung, huyndai,sk CEOs’ illegal issuing
stocks or bonds.
The quantity are plenty.
(Three company CEOs did(and are doing) many crimes to me.
Many koreans are knowing it.
But many koreans are bought off by illegal issuing stocks or bonds.)
The team are knowing it.
Korean special investigative team must investigate this.
But they are trying to conceal it.
I ask for asking for this criminal investigation to prosecutors in any
country.
And help the shareholders and me.

P.S)
Three companies are hacking me and trying to kill me.
And are suspicious to use my name and email illegally.
If you receive another message that I dictated above are not true,
it is not from me, but from three companies.
The things I dictated above are true.

All I have to say is...

YOU SO CRAZY! I don't know where you come up with your material but please keep posting on my blog.

Since, my buddy posted on my blog I guess I can link you to his blog.
